A work colleague of mine recently shared this handy graphic from Visual News that depicts when various fruits and vegetables are in season. Looking at the date ranges, it seems like this must be based on California’s growing season. Still, it’s worth a view.
Now someone just needs to make a wallet-sized version of this chart…or you could bookmark the page and view it on your smartphone when shopping.

yup, you’re right: the source line on the chart shows CUESA, which is the organization that runs our best-known farmers market here in San Francisco. They’ve got similar charts on their own site (http://cuesa.org/node/1357), though not nearly as pretty.
